The prices are more 200 per night with taxes with these cheapest options in coming weekends.. Except Motel 6 though.

HoJos - 210 Not availble till late July

What would you suggest, other convenient areas nearby to look for?

Thanks for your help. I appreciate your efforts.

Do you have to go to Newport in the high season? If you wait until late summer or early fall, those prices should drop dramatically. Otherwise, you may want to look farther north (away from Newport) - unfortunately, like Boston, Newport is not a cheap place to stay.

This is probablt the lowest you could go in the area, if all you want is a place to sleep. Area is ok, but basically an old motel.Motel 6 way better if you can get it.

I%26#39;m not sure when you%26#39;re going but the Travel Lodge rate for 7/16 is only $86.

I see the link didn%26#39;t work. Google Travel Lodge Middletown to get to their website. I also see that the rates jump on the weekend from $86 to $169. Guess you%26#39;re plans are for the weekend. Good luck.

@solai

Yes I%26#39;m talking about weekends..

Thanks all for your valuable insights.. We decided to stay in a Warwick hotel which is approximately 30 mins drive to/from Newport.

Thanks

That 30 minute trip can take a bit longer in the Summer with beach traffic along Route 4....what weekend are you looking at, and what is/was your budget?

July 25th to July 27th

My budget is in and around 100 dollars a night... to the higher end 120 wud be fine too...

Yeah, probably a little too late to find something within the budget...the drive from Warwick to Newport isn%26#39;t too bad expect about 45 if you hit beach traffic. You could also drive through and see Wickford. You could also drive to Providence and take the ferry down and get a nice boat ride through the Bay if the weather is nice.
