I have been to Newport many times and love love love the pulse...Of course I have visited between May and August. Is there still the Boston/NYC crowd coming in for the weekends this late in September? How about Castle Hill? Do they still have the Sunday afternoon party? Any ideas for 30-somethings to go at night would be great. Thanks in advance!!
September 26 trip...will Newport be a ghostown??
My wife and I have been to Newport many times and have never found it to be a ghost town no matter when we go. Once we went in February, and were surprised to find out that the hotel we were staying at was completely booked the night before we arrived. And there were plenty of people there, although nowhere near the summer crowds, but it definitely didn%26#39;t have a deserted feel either. I have no doubt that there should be plenty of people there when you go. There%26#39;s always something going on in Newport. Can%26#39;t really answer your other questions, but I%26#39;m sure that others here can. Have fun!

It definetly won%26#39;t be a ghost town, we just tried to book the Marriott for Sept 24 %26amp; 25 and they are all booked up already! Also I believe the 25th-28th there will be a Wine and Food Festival going on.
Not a ghost town, still busy on weekends, Castle Hill will not be crowded like in the summer though.
30 somethings will be at:

Cooke House
West Deck
O%26#39;Briens
Asterisk
Black Pearl deck
Basically the usual haunts through October. Then the Boston/NYC crowd will start thinking about Killington.
