Anywhere downtown will put you near restaurants, shopping, sights etc....Westin, Biltmore, Courtyard Mariott, Rnaissance Hotel, Hilton. For a place with FREE parking, try the Mariott on Smith Street...a little bit out of the right downtown area, but walkable of you can take a trolley easily. Easy drive to PC and Brown. Radisson is also cheaper and has free parking, but kind of in an isolated part of town, and lots of construction going on on the adjacent highway.

If you don;t mind walking, all of the downtown hotels are acessible to Brown and dthe East Side....you%26#39;ll have to drive to PC though.

For some budget accomodations, you could also check out some Hotels in Seekonk, MA...about a 10 - 15 minute trip into Providence.

I too am going soon for a visit to Brown, however I am interested in an historic B%26amp;B that doesn%26#39;t charge an arm and a leg ($150 and under). Any ideas? There are several that come up in google searches for: Providence and B%26amp;B%26#39;s. I am so tired of staying at chain hotels, and spending quality time with my soon to be college bound child is important to me. Thanks.
