My wife and I are planning a romantic four day trip to Newport towards the end of November and I%26#39;ve heard very good things about La Farge Perry.
I%26#39;m looking for information regarding the rooms at La Farge Perry; specifically from someone who%26#39;s stayed in the Margaret Perry or John La Farge rooms.
In addition, how was the location for walking to the ';city center'; for music/drinks/food?

The location could not be better, though I don%26#39;t know anything bout the inn, but the reviews do seem very good.

Im booked in the La Farge Perry house for Nov 10 and 11. I made reservations for meals at the Spiced Pear and at Tuckers Bisrro. Both places seemed real nice. This is a getaway for my wife and I also. I will write a review when I get back. We joined the preservation society. this got us free tickets to some mansion tours.
My husband and I just returned from a two nite stay at La Farge Perry. We have stayed at five other B%26amp;B%26#39;s in Newport over the years and this was by far the best. The first nite we stayed in the Oliver Perry, and the second nite in the Master Suite. The Oliver Perry was beautiful in more of a rustic way. The master suite was unbelieveable. The bathroom was as large as the bedroom. The furnishings in the house are beautiful. The breakfast is delicious, and you are given different choices. It is made to order. There is also juice, coffee, teas, and fresh fruit, cereals and freshly baked muffins. One morning we had blueberry pancakes, and the other french toast. The innkeeper Midge, is wonderful, so helpful and nice. She was a chef and you can tell with the food she cooks for breakfast. The location is also good, and not too far a walk to town. We did see the John La Farge and Margaret Perry rooms. Both
are beautiful and either one is a good choice. The LaFarge is on the first floor, the other on the third. Overall this is a great B %26amp; B.
