I will be in Newport Friday night. Can anyone recommend a seafood/steak restaurant. All the restaurants that I have checked looked great but are out of my price range ie. Castle Hill, Pronto%26#39;s, Tuckers and White Horse Tavern. I would like to dine in a nicer restaurant then Red Parrot but not as costly as the others. Thanks

If you can work it out to go to Tucker%26#39;s then go, you won%26#39;t be disappointed.
I had salmon %26amp; my husband had scallops - both were great.
We overheard a woman at a nearby table compliment Tucker%26#39;s steak over %26amp; over and that it was one of the best she%26#39;s ever had. I debated getting the steak when I heard her, but I stuck with my original choice of the salmon and I was not disappointed.
another restaurant question
Thank you for your reply. I hope your husband had a great 40th birthday. Was Tuckers expensive?
Yes and no - we splurged for our dinners this particular weekend. We each got our own appetizer, instead of sharing 1. We didn%26#39;t count how many drinks we each got, though it really wasn%26#39;t that many. We got an after dinner drinks, etc.
All that aside, my husband and I enjoy going out to eat, especially for good meals. We live in the suburbs and sometimes going out to our favorite Japanese meal can easily be over $100, then again we don%26#39;t live to far from NYC so we are sort of used to a meal being over $100.
To us, this was well worth the money.
