If you are on a tighter budget or just don%26#39;t want to go that big, I really like Gracie%26#39;s (http://www.graciesprov.com/) and XO Cafe (http://www.xocafe.com/) for special nights out.

We stayed one time at the Ivy Lodge in Newport. It located near the mansion area so it is a bit of a walk to the shops and restaurants near the water. Since the time we stayed there, new innkeepers have bought the place so I am not sure how it has changed since we stayed there. It gets pretty good reviews here on TA however.
