Beaches

I%26#39;m renting a house for a week in Barrington with other couples (no kids) and need advice on daily activities, best beaches, restaurants, nightlife etc.

Beaches

Fo nightlife head to Bristol or Newport. Barrington is more of a quiet residential town, not really known for it%26#39;s nightlife....in fact they only have 4 liquor licenses and no liquor stores.

I only know of Barrington Town Beach right in Barrington, but some others might know of others.

Beaches

Like mentioned. Barrington is very laid back. Also to let you know (if it matters) it%26#39;s a dry town. No alchohol allowed. It does have the state/town beach but it%26#39;s not the best. It%26#39;s ok at best. There%26#39;s some ok places to eat as well but keep in mind, Barrington closes down really early.

But you can go short distances to Bristol (my town) and Warren and what not to get some good food. Bristol also has a state beach located in Colt State Park which is very nice. Both park and beach. You could also drive to Newport and hit up one of the many beaches it has to offer plus many of the other activities as well.

Providence is also a nice area to hit up for some good food as well as alot of nightlife sorta things.

Newport has alot to offer as well. Beaches, good food, nightlife and so on.

Another great area to check out for some beaches and food is the Narragansett area.
