My family will be spending 3 days in Newport during the first week in August.

What will the weather be like?

Obviuosly nobody can predict that far in advance, but it%26#39;s usually the start of the dog days of summer....Hazy, Hot, Humid...low - mid 80%26#39;s could catch a heat wave aand push it up towards high 80%26#39;s (90%26#39;s inland, but the sea breeze will keep it lower along the coast)

Chance of thunderstorms popping up anytime....

Slightly cooler in the eve...high 60%26#39;s - 70%26#39;s.

Weather in August

It can still be a scorcher in Newport this (early) in the season. Late June to mid August sometimes are the hottest, muggiest ones. But the sea breeze will negate most of the effect of these temps, although the windburn will still be a bear. Bring plenty of sun products (caps,glasses,sunblocks and moisturizers) and enjoy.

Once you hit the Pell (Newport) Bridge as you decline from its%26#39; peak you%26#39;ll notice a huge difference in temperature, if not; sorry to say it%26#39;ll be a scorcher.

Very rare for perfect skys all day, usually clouds move in from the west about 2PM (if it%26#39;s hot) and T-Storms can come and go.
