Waterfire - June 18

Hello all,

My boyfriend and I will be in Providence this Wednesday, June 18th, and according to the Waterfire schedule there will be a partial lighting, ';Basin Only';. We%26#39;ve never attended this event before, so I%26#39;m wondering:

1) Where exactly do we go to see it? This feels like a dumb question, but I can%26#39;t find an actual address other than ';on the river';. And does the fact that it%26#39;s on the Basin only mean we have to go somewhere special?

2) It looks like it starts at 8:24...is it smart to arrive early?

3) Is this something you just sit and watch, or is it better to walk around, grab dinner outdoors, etc. while it%26#39;s happening?

The Basin that they refer to is at Water Place Park (There%26#39;s a big circular basin there where they light the fires, as opposed to the whole legth of the river) right in the middle of Downtown near the Mall.

For a partial lighting, it won%26#39;t be as crowded with vendors and such, so you really can only sit and watch the fires for a while, or do a stroll around the basin. I%26#39;d suggest your last comment, walk around, grab dinner, etc....
