My husband and I will be arriving around 10:00 PM on June 11th, and I got a room for that night through Priceline at the Radisson on India Street.
We will be staying in Jackson, NH the next night, so we will likely head out of Providence fairly early in the morning on the 12th.
I think we would enjoy having breakfast somewhere in Providence before heading out of town. Can anyone recommend a restaurant with good breakfast food in a nice area where we might enjoy walking around a bit before heading north. Maybe a historical part of town??
Thanks in advance.
Kim

Sure, I have a couple of suggestions for you. Since you%26#39;ll be down at India Point and close by Brown University, the first is Rue de L%26#39;Espoir which means Hope Street in French. It%26#39;s at 99 Hope St. A very charming place with the usual bacon and eggs, pancakes, plus crepes and sticky buns. Real good. Take a right leaving your hotel which will immediately put you on Gano Street. Take Gano to Wickenden St, left on Wickenden then a right onto Hope. Second one is The Brickway. It%26#39;s located on Wickenden by going past Hope. It%26#39;s at 234 Wickenden. This place is much more funky and hip. Very popular with the college crowd. Green building. Real good blueberry pancakes.

Or you could just keep driving down hope street until it turns into east ave about a mile down, and then keep driving for another half mile until you see the modern diner. The modern diner is rumored to be the first diner in America, it%26#39;s a box car, and the service is excellent and the food is authentic and delicious.
Red Stripe is on the East Side and has an amazing breakfast/ brunch
