The only hotels I%26#39;ve found are the Marriott and the Harbor Hotel - any B%26amp;B%26#39;s in this area with great water views? Thanks!
Any B%26amp;B's in the Action AND on the Water?
Not really any B%26amp;Bs, it%26#39;s mostly Hotels and Timeshares (that also rent out rooms) that have the waterfront views.

Thank you for the response.. which hotel would you suggest? We were thinking about the Marriott... I was also interested in the Hydrangea House - is that close to the water and town?
Hydranga House is nice, but it%26#39;s up on Bellevue, about a 5 minute walk down to town. No views of the water. The Hotel Viking across the street might have some waterview rooms from up on the hill. The Mariott, Hyatt out on Goat Island Newport Harbor Hotel all would have some water view rooms.
Thank you, we ended up booking the Harbor hotel for Sept 24 %26amp; 25th. I think the wine festival starts the 25th, will this effect us touring any of the mansions, or getting reservations at restaurants? I was going to make reservations for the Mooring for Wed night but leave Thurs open.
No that festival should have no real impact on the crowds at the mansions or restaurants. You should be fine mid-week. The Harbor Hotel is a great central location.
Ooops, I was thinking of a different wine festival, but now I see that a few of the restaurants are running special menues on Thursday, so it might be a little tougher to get a reservation, but I still wouldn%26#39;t think it would be too bad....I don%26#39;t really remember huge crowds at any restuarants during the week last year...they begin at 6:30 so I would think anything later you would be ok.
Thank you again for the info.. I%26#39;m really looking forward to the trip!
