Block Island Rentals

My family is planning a reunion in August 2009 and Block Island is one of the two sites which interest us. We would like to be on or close to the beach and need at least 9-10 bedrooms. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I can tell you this much. You and your family would love Block Island. It%26#39;s just as beautiful, if not more so, than Nantucket. It%26#39;s also less crowded and less expensive than Nantucket.

As far as beaches go, you are NEVER far from a beach on Block Island no matter where you stay. With the island being only 10 square miles, you can see why.

Block Island is excellent for biking around or even renting a moped to go exploring. There%26#39;s really no need at all to have a car.

Block Island has plenty of dining options, from high end to low end, plenty of really cool and charming shops, excellent fishing and on and on.

Getting to your lodging question, I%26#39;m not sure what your looking for. When you say 9-10 bedrooms, are you looking to rent a house? I don%26#39;t think there%26#39;s a private house that big on BI to rent. There%26#39;s plenty of places like B%26amp;B%26#39;s, Inns or hotels that could accomodate your family. My only advice to you on the lodging is to book it now because August is the busiest month. The same would go for Nantucket if you decide to go there.
