Newport Onshore

I can%26#39;t seem to find any reviews of Newport Onshore. Does anyone know first hand how it is there? I heard from one person that it was run down and the beds were uncomfortable and it wasn%26#39;t very clean, but that was a year ago. Is there anyone that can give me a review?

It%26#39;s too late, lol....but thank you! I heard that it is run down and that it needs to be totally updated. If you think differently, I would love to know for next summer.

Run down? No. I totally disagree. I am not an owner there; I have rented. It has an excellent staff and an excellent housekeeping staff. The rooms are clean, kitchens are spotless, bedsa re just fine, linens are great. I%26#39;d love to hear the specific complaints...no plasma TVs?

I am planning on checking it out for myself when we go to Newport next week. One person said the beds were uncomfortable and that it wasn%26#39;t clean. I spoke to another person who told me it needed to be renovated because the furniture was old and run down. One owner told me that there is supposed to be daily cleaning, but they don%26#39;t always get around to it. I guess it depends on who you talk to, which is why I was trying to find some reports on here with other opinions.

We stay at the Admiral Fitzroy when my husband and I go to Newport alone. No plasmas there! It%26#39;s our favorite b%26amp;b. Thank you for your input. It%26#39;s good to hear.

Yes, the best research is that which is first-hand so have a good look while you%26#39;re there. There was a young lady at the front desk named ';Holly'; who is no longer there. The only problem with Onshore is that because the entrance is on Thames, there tend to be a lot of salespersons standing around trying to hawk the timeshares. Don%26#39;t worry about that. I%26#39;ve never seen them past the entrance. Have a great trip. I%26#39;ll be in Newport for a week starting Sunday.

So I checked it out first hand and it wasn%26#39;t run down. I was there at night visiting some friends who stayed there. I couldn%26#39;t really see the pool or grounds since it was dark, but they told us it was clean %26amp; nice. So Newport Onshore is not a bad place to stay after all!

Good! I%26#39;m glad you agree. The grounds are fine, too. And soon the property next door will be rehabbed into offices and retail.
