We will be arriving in Newport RI on a Princess Cruise. The tender drops us off at the Newport Visitors Info Center 23 Americas Cup Avenue. Rather than pay for a Princess Shore Excursion to see the Mansions, we%26#39;d like to rent a car for the day. Is there a rental place nearby?
Alternatively, does Gray Line or other tour buses/vans leave from the Vistor%26#39;s Center?

There is a Hertz on Broadway, about a 10 minute walk from where the tender lets you off.

If you are only going to be staying in Newport, you really won%26#39;t need a car. Downtown is walkable, and there are RIPTA trolleys out to the mansions.
But yes, if you need a rental car, there%26#39;s Hertz Local Edition on Broadway, about a 10 minute walk from where the tenders will drop you off.
