I am getting married in Newport this summer and am looking for a hotel that is reasonable, but has a suite that would make it possible for my bridal party to get ready in. Any inn or hotel that has suites or extra room near downtown would work. Most of my family is staying at the Marriott and would like to be somewhat close to them. Thanks!

Have you tried the Mariott? They have some suites.
Also close by the Mariott is Newport Harbor Hotel, they have a Commodor Suite, probably not cheap though.
Up the street is Vanderbilt Hall which has suites, also the Hotel Viking, and across the street the Hydrnaga House.
There are time shares that could have condos available. There are a couple of Wyndham properties

The Fairfield is on the same side of the street as the Mariott, but at the other end of the block, you might be able to find something there too:

Also, not really walking distance to town, but a mile drive down Memorial Blvd are some new suites at the Newport Beach Hotel and Suites.
