My best friend and I will be traveling to Block Island for the first time (Well the East Coast for the first time really). We unfortunately only have time for a day trip to BI and need advise...
We are not cyclist and it appears that that is the first suggestion to tour the island but I have read that there are Taxi Tours. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good Tour Company? We would want to be able to take pictures etc....
Also, any suggestions on a place to eat lunch? Nothing to fancy, just a nice place to sit down and enjoy the Block Island beauty with your BFF.
And last, what would be the ';must see'; suggestions from people who have actually been there? We have been so enamoured with the beauty of the island in the pictures that we have seen but want to make sure that we get to see everything.
I am sorry that this is so long. I truly appreciate any input.
1 Day on Block Island in Mid October HELP!You%26#39;re not going to have a hard time choosing places to eat and tour cos. since the island is small. The deck at the Narragansett House, the Oar to name a few. A few places close after Labor Day.
BI has rolling hills so if you aren%26#39;t bikers it would be a good idea to get around another way- mopeds have always been popular, and these days I%26#39;ve noticed in Newport at least there are sit down mopeds for two people, kind of like a oversized go cart.
Don%26#39;t miss Mohegan Bluffs and the lighthouse.
