Flying into PVD on a Saturday and would like to find a Country dance place near Providence. Don%26#39;t mind driving a ways. Any suggestions? (P.S. leaving the teens at home, just mature adults this trip!)
Country Music/Dancing near Providence?
You may have to set aside your two step during this trip; country dancing really isn%26#39;t that big in RI, that%26#39;s for sure. And if it does take place, it%26#39;s usually line dancing.
We have one country station, maybe they can give some leads.

Country Music/Dancing near Providence?
thanks for your reply. Guess we%26#39;ll have to wait until we get to Tequila%26#39;s north of Boston on our way towards Maine.
You can get your Country groove on at Diamond Rodeo in Cranston. 10-15 minute drive from downtown Providence.

O.K. Diamond Rodeo, can you tell me more about this place? Live bands? what nights? Common age group who frequent the dance floor?....Any info. would be Great! Thanks
No bands, but it%26#39;s a great spot for country dancing. Friday%26#39;s are it%26#39;s best night with Cat Country 98.1 there. They do line dancing classes until about 9, then it%26#39;s open dance floor with line dancing, two step, etc. Clientele age ranges from 20%26#39;s to 40%26#39;s and up. Basically anyone who enjoys country music and dancing goes there, especially Friday nights. It%26#39;s one of four clubs under one roof. Johnny Bahamas, Monkey Bar and JR%26#39;s rock club service the young, wild types. Diamond Rodeo is definitely more mellow and enjoyable for the older crowd.
