Can anyone tell me about The Point? I see that it is

the historical part of town. Is it worth going to and is it safe to walk in at night?

You must have spoken to an old timer. In the 70%26#39;s, the Point was a roguish community. My parents thought twice about buying an old colonial there for $6,000. Now those houses are restored and worth 700 times as much. The Point is beautiful, and I would feel safe walking there, or anywhere in Newport at anytime of day or night.

Yes, it%26#39;s perfectly safe to walk around there. It is a historical part of town, but the Historic Hill area of town has more historic Colonial Houses.
